Working Well With Your Content and Graphic Designer Clear, complete and consistent information is a reasonable adjustment. It helps the designer work efficiently and produce high-quality posters, videos and other promotional content. How to Give Helpful Instructions 1. Send all available information together at the start. 2. Put instructions in one message where possible. 3. Be clear and specific about what you want. 4. Provide logos, photos, dates, times, venue details and wording before work begins. 5. If changes are needed, send them together in one list. 6. Say exactly what needs changing. 7. Keep branding and expectations consistent. 8. Give reasonable notice for deadlines. What Can Make the Work Difficult Constantly changing instructions. Information sent bit by bit over several days. Vague requests such as “make it look better” without explaining what that means. Last-minute changes that could have been provided earlier. Conflicting instructions from different band members. Why Clear Communication Matters Because the designer has AuDHD (autism and ADHD) and learning disabilities, unclear or changing instructions can lead to: Confusion about what is required. Increased stress and anxiety. Difficulty organising information. Extra checking and re-checking of details. Delays caused by redoing work. Frustration for everyone involved. Photos Needed The designer needs fresh, good-quality photos of singers and band members, both individually and together. Please include a mix of posed photos and candid photos taken while the band is rehearsing or jamming. Many existing images have already been used. New photos provide more creative options and help prevent posters from looking too similar. Video Filming Tips Future videos should be filmed head-on, with the whole band visible, and with the camera kept as steady as possible. Shaky or unsteady footage is difficult to edit and limits what the designer can create. Stable video gives the designer better source material for promotional content. The Benefits Faster work.
